About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medical Technician to join our team at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center. As an EMT, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safety of our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and record patient information, including vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, calorie counts, and other relevant data.
- Document observations, interactions, and patient responses to performed activities, and report any physical or behavioral changes to the RN/Team Lead.
- Assist with mobility, including regular turning and positioning, dangling, and ambulating patients, as well as helping with the use of walkers, crutches, canes, and wheelchairs.
- Provide or assist with non-medicated care, including non-sterile dressing changes, skin protection, application of heat or ice, and venous compression devices.
- Collect specimens for diagnostic or waived tests, ensuring accuracy of all labels and transfer of specimens.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including eating and drinking, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination, and change bed linens as needed.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
