Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Female

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Female to join our team at The Arc Prince George's County. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered supports and services to individuals with disabilities.

About the Role:

The LPN will be responsible for the medical well-being of the individuals in the home, providing clinical leadership for staff during the course of the shift. This includes administering medications, documenting progress, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide person-centered supports and services to individuals with disabilities
  • Administer medications and document progress
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure best possible outcomes
  • Provide training and support to individuals in the program to help them achieve greater independence in managing their health
  • Assist with household tasks and communicate needs to the supervisor
  • Work in cooperation with a delegating nurse, Program Administrator and Program Manager to perform duties essential to providing quality healthcare to individuals receiving services at The Arc
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid LPN license for the state of Maryland
  • At least 1 year of related experience working with individuals in a care-giving setting
  • A good driving record, reliable vehicle, and current Maryland Driver's license
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated care-giving skills such as personal care provision and repositioning skills
  • The ability to lift a person with assistance (two-person lift)
