Sanctions Program Coordinator

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Sanctions Analyst to join our dynamic compliance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting sanctions programs, conducting reviews, and ensuring regulatory excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of US Laws and Regulations, particularly OFAC and BSA requirements. They will be responsible for conducting sanction-related screenings, identifying potential regulatory compliance gaps, and escalating risks to management.
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $65,000 per year, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
Job Summary
Supports the Sanctions Compliance Officer with customer screenings, transaction reviews, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Ensures adherence to OFAC, BSA, and internal policies while assisting with investigations and regulatory exams.
Responsibilities:
- Stay informed on updates to OFAC and BSA regulations, ensuring tasks align with regulatory requirements and advising on potential impacts to the Branch or Bank.
- Conduct sanction-related screening, including customer, trade finance, and other required reviews, while serving as a Level 1 reviewer and assisting Level 2 reviewers as needed.
- Identify and escalate potential regulatory compliance gaps within the Sanction Program and maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Draft inquiries for OFAC investigations and handle manual returns for canceled transactions in suspense accounts.
- Demonstrate risk awareness by following all policies, procedures, and internal controls, taking accountability for identifying and escalating risks.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Sanctions.
- Familiarity with US Laws and Regulations.
