Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Engineer – Mechanical Design to lead the design and analysis of cold engine frame structures for our next-generation narrow body jet engines. As a key member of our Advanced Technologies Organization, you will be responsible for driving innovation and excellence in mechanical design, manufacture, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis of cold frame structures using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members, influencing outcomes and driving complex tasks forward.
  • Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned hardware, consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Develop action plans to respond to issues and problems, with guidance from senior leadership.
  • Recommend approaches to meet technical and program requirements, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in technical and program reviews, presenting and reviewing information with internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering position.
  • At least 5 years of experience designing, analyzing, and integrating significant structural components.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading a technical team.
