The Cook III will work under the guidance of the Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef to prepare a diverse range of food items. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers, employees, and business partners.
  • Ensure a working knowledge of the Association rules and enforce them accordingly.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including custodial duties.
  • Cook foodstuffs in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served.
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen appliances and surfaces.
  • Take inventory as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Must possess precise knife skills, including butchering skills with fish and steaks.
  • Must be familiar with temperatures for meat, fish, and steaks and be able to produce a properly cooked product at all times.
  • Must master all cooking stations, including pantry, broiler, sauté, fryer, and griddle.
  • Must be able to lead the line on a regular basis and take charge of tickets and dinner service in the absence of the Chef and Sous Chef.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food and beverage industry, with a minimum of one year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current CPR and First Aid certifications are highly recommended.
