Wieland Group is seeking a skilled Production Assembler to join our team in a Weekend Shift role. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for assisting in the assembly and manufacturing of commercial and industrial HVAC heat exchangers.
Responsibilities- Assist in all facets of the assembly and manufacturing process, including reading and interpreting mechanical prints, schematics, and other written instructions.
- Work with a variety of raw and synthetic materials, processes, safety, and quality assurance protocols.
- Operate various tools and equipment to assemble, paint, braze, test, handle, manipulate, and move components, assemblies, and final products.
- Use measuring and testing devices, as well as visual inspection, to ensure quality of product and conformity to prints, work instructions, and standards.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- 2+ years of previous experience in an industrial environment, preferably in a manufacturing or assembly role.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Power industrial truck license and usage required.
- Ability to perform work in various physical positions, including standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, reaching, and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a medium industrial setting with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gases, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, noise, vibration, climbing ladders/stairs, and working in cramped quarters.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, including hearing protection, safety eyewear, safety footwear, face shield, and respirator if required.
- Close vision, distant vision, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and hand-eye coordination.
- Steadiness of arms and hands and ability to make coordinated movements.
- Ability to read text, process, and understand its meaning.
- Able to gather and retrieve information effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge of machines/tools and their uses and maintenance.
