Drive Innovation as a Scrum Master

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coach two scrum teams to achieve higher levels of agile maturity at a sustainable pace.
  • Participate in Scrum of Scrums and facilitate Program Increment (PI) execution.
  • Guide teams to be self-organized and motivate them to focus on team goals and objectives.
  • Remove impediments and act as a change agent to implement Agile principles and best practices across the team and organization.
  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospective, daily stand-up, and sprint review/demo.
  • Foster internal team communication by building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or retribution.
  • Assist with communication with broader IT teams and business stakeholders to improve transparency and visibility into team progress and impediments.
  • Support and educate product owners in their role of creating, grooming, and maintaining the backlog and supporting the scrum team.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and experience implementing Agile and DevSecOps.
  • Scrum Master certification required.
  • SAFe certification preferred.
  • Program management certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a dedicated Scrum Master role for a software development team applying Scrum/SAFe principles, practices, and theory.
  • Insurance experience and/or technical skills are strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and business languages.
  • Excellent coaching skills.
