Amergis is seeking a skilled Behavioral Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will provide critical support to students with special needs and collaborate with school professionals to achieve learning and behavioral goals.

This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff. Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior management techniques to prevent and intervene in challenging behaviors
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation training to students and staff
  • Review and implement behavior intervention plans to support student success
  • Document session data accurately and efficiently to inform instruction and intervention
  • Assist in facilitating academic instruction at the direction of an instructor
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR certification if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current health certificate per contract or state regulation
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site

Amergis offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, our benefits package includes:
