Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize structural designs for manufacturing processes, ensuring they meet industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
  • Utilize SolidWorks to create 3D models, detailed drawings, and simulations for structural components.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate structural designs seamlessly into the overall product development process.
  • Identify and specify appropriate materials for structural components, considering factors such as strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the prototyping team to create and test prototypes, making necessary adjustments to designs based on testing results.
  • Generate comprehensive design documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and specifications, to facilitate the manufacturing process.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices, and implement improvements to existing designs and processes to enhance product performance and manufacturability.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Manufacturing Design Engineer with a focus on structural design.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant design software, with a strong understanding of structural analysis and finite element analysis (FEA).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and assembly.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
