Job Title: Principal Electronics Engineer/Senior Principal Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Electronics Engineer or Senior Principal Electronics Engineer to join our Advanced Tactical Program Radar Team in Baltimore, MD.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work on the development, integration, and testing of radar hardware. As a Principal Electronics Engineer or Senior Principal Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for leading tasks, data analysis, and digital instrumentation, and will work in a team environment or independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development, integration, and testing of radar hardware
  • Lead tasks, data analysis, and digital instrumentation
  • Work in a team environment or independently
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Travel periodically to support scheduled field integration requirements at customer locations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering/computer engineering or related STEM degree and with a minimum of 5 years of relevant technical work experience or master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant technical work experience
  • Experience with lab support equipment such as digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers
  • Experience with other specialized test equipment and tools used to troubleshoot in the lab or field
  • Working knowledge of radar operations
  • Effective verbal and written communications
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations
  • Active Secret Clearance investigated within the last 5 years, with the ability to gain program specific clearances
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and guidance
  • Experience in hardware/software integration of embedded systems
  • Experience with MATLAB
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical hardware
  • Experience in radar modes of operation, with RF stimulator, RF target generator and digital bench type systems
Salary Range:

$83,300 - $124,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
