Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Sharon Hospital. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in providing direct and indirect patient support under the guidance of skilled RNs and physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily activities, including morning and evening care routines, to ensure their comfort and well-being.
  • Provide emotional support and assistance with clinical procedures under the expert direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Prepare and serve meals, catering to patients' dietary needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Stay alert and responsive to patients' needs by promptly addressing call lights and conducting regular rounds.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent educational background is essential.
  • Prioritize patient safety and quality of care with BLS certification required by the end of your orientation class.
  • Dive into your role confidently with at least 1 year of direct patient care experience.
Working Conditions

This role requires significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. You will be exposed to dirt, odor, noise, and human waste, and may exert up to 50 lbs. force.
