YOUR ROLE:

As a Safety and Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the well-being of our staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular patrols and surveillance of all hospital areas
  • Responding promptly and effectively to emergencies

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

You will report directly to the Chief Security Officer, Supervisor/Security, and the Director of Public Safety and Emergency Management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not include supervisory duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree in Criminal Justice or a related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants should have at least one (1) year of relevant experience. Preferred candidates will possess three (3) years of experience in Law Enforcement, Corrections, Private Security, or Military Law Enforcement.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

A current Florida CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a passenger endorsement is required within three (3) months of employment. The incumbent will operate a TMH vehicle and must hold a valid state driver’s license. Candidates must be at least twenty-one (21) years old with a minimum of two (2) years of licensed driving experience. A seven (7)-year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) must be provided prior to employment. Candidates should have no more than two (2) minor violations in the past three (3) years and zero (0) major violations in the past five (5) years.
