Position Summary

The Financial Controller will play a crucial role in managing and improving the financial operations of Cirrus Systems, Inc. This position involves leading a skilled accounting team, utilizing technology and automation to enhance processes, and ensuring thorough financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a background in manufacturing and experience in developing and maintaining a standardized inventory costing system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Financial Reporting: Deliver timely and detailed financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting relevant data points.
  • Strategic Financial Guidance: Direct financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to the current economic environment, with a focus on innovation and adaptability.
  • Leverage Technology and Automation: Employ advanced financial software to integrate automation into business processes, ensuring streamlined and efficient operations.
  • Financial Controls and Guidelines: Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls and guidelines to protect company assets and ensure compliance.
  • Cash Forecasting: Provide forward-looking cash forecasts on a weekly basis to support real-time decision-making.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and support the accounting team with dynamic leadership, fostering an environment of trust, productivity, and technological advancement.
  • Financial Management and Compliance: Oversee budgeting, payroll efficiency, operational strategy, revenue and cost management, and internal controls; ensure legal compliance, maintain inventory accuracy, and establish financial benchmarks and reporting standards.

Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years of professional accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on technology utilization and experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • In-depth understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis, with effective use of financial software.
  • Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting.
  • Experience in managing payroll with a focus on streamlining and automating accounting processes.
  • Proven track record of financial project management with successful implementation of technology-driven solutions.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
