Job Summary

As a FERC Compliance Manager at Portland General Electric, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with FERC and NERC regulations. This position oversees the implementation of regulatory requirements, monitors compliance, and identifies and evaluates risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory compliance best practices and experience in managing compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the overall compliance effort of PGE, providing leadership and representation in the company's relationships with FERC, NERC, and WECC.
  • Assure accuracy and overall compliance of FERC tariffs and other regulatory filings.
  • Represent PGE before regulatory agencies regarding compliance matters.
  • Establish goals and metrics for the team and manage performance.
  • Manage a team of corporate compliance professionals responsible for advising operational units on compliance matters.
  • Provide technical management for the team, ensuring that objectives are met and all relevant standards/procedures are followed.
  • Monitor and manage expenditures, ensuring that all financial targets are met.
  • Oversee resourcing decisions and planning for the team.
  • Review organizational development needs and training strategies to determine required learning and development outcomes for the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Eight or more years of experience in compliance, including at least three years of FERC/NERC experience.
  • Professional compliance certification preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory compliance best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of NERC/FERC regulations and reliability standards.
  • Intermediate skills in compliance, including managing controls, identifying gaps, and recommending remediation.

Compensation

$116,410.00 - $216,190.00

Actual total compensation, including a performance-based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity.
