About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at Centennial Peaks Hospital. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and therapeutic environment for our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include observing and recording patient information, reporting to the nursing team, and providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe and therapeutic milieu for patients
  • Observe and record patient information pertinent to the treatment plan
  • Report patient information to the nursing team
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse
  • Crisis intervention and individual/family education groups
  • Activities of daily living
Shift Hours

This part-time position requires working 3 shifts per week, with 8-hour shifts either in the evening (3pm-11:30pm) or overnight (11pm-7:30am).

Benefits

As a Mental Health Technician at Centennial Peaks Hospital, you will be eligible for our generous shift differentials, including:

  • Weekend Day (Sat-Sun): $2/hr
  • Evening (Mon-Thurs): $3.25/hr
  • Weekend Evening (Fri-Sun): $5.00/hr
  • Night (Mon-Thurs): $5.00/hr
  • Weekend Night (Fri-Sun): $7.00/hr
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One-year experience working with a psychiatric patient population preferred
  • Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships processes, age-specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors, and CPR training preferred or ability to learn
