Purchasing Coordinator/Biomed Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Coordinator/Biomed to join our team at Crook County Medical Services District. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring necessary supplies for our facility, working with vendors, and maintaining supply areas.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with department heads to ensure purchase requests, orders, and paperwork are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain adequate stock levels and accurate central supply records.
- Assist with weekly supply truck offload and department distribution.
- Ensure all purchasing paperwork is accurately completed prior to administrative approval.
- Track and log invoices to coincide with purchase orders and pay accordingly.
- Monitor current market prices to ensure budget appropriations are economically facilitated.
- Ensure vendor contracts are current and up-to-date on a yearly basis.
- Investigate new products and equipment to price them economically.
- Direct annual inventory audit functions.
- Meet with vendors and place orders as necessary.
- Work with Finance/Accounting to compile a yearly budget for the purchasing department.
- Complete a quality insurance report for the purchasing department on a monthly basis.
- Represent the purchasing department at department head meetings.
- Coordinate and maintain the Biomedical program.
- Liaise with the biomedical company, biomedical technician, and vendors.
- Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and inventory lists.
- Ship, receive, track, and record equipment shipped for service, repair, or replacement.
- Ensure service agreements and licenses are documented and remain intact.
- Manage recalls and alerts as directed by the manufacturer.
- Request equipment, service agreements, and parts as needed.
- Request approval of and arrange for a field service technician if necessary.
- Ensure an adequate supply of consumables, accessories, and preventive maintenance supplies are on hand.
- Investigate staff equipment concerns and report to the biomedical technician.
- Keep staff informed of biomedical activities.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Familiar with Medical Terminology Preferred
- Familiar with Accounting Principles Required
