Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Actalent is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate general chemistry equipment and perform manual methods to provide high-quality test results.
  • Analyze and organize work by matching computer orders with specimen labeling, sorting specimens, checking labeling, logging specimens, arranging reports for delivery, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Monitor test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.
  • Run standards and controls, verify equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, and calibrate equipment using approved testing procedures.
  • Process and test upward of 1000 samples per shift.
  • Work with blood and urine samples and perform necessary testing.
  • Maintain records that demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
Requirements:
  • MLS or MLT certification.
  • Experience in clinical healthcare laboratory settings.
  • Strong knowledge of chemistry principles and laboratory procedures.
