Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at the University of California- Davis Health. As a key member of our pediatric cardiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality cardiac ultrasound support for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide cardiac ultrasound support for pediatric and perinatology services, pediatric specialty clinic, community outreach clinics, pediatric heart surgery program, and cath lab procedures.
  • Assist pediatric cardiologists with transesophageal ultrasound exams intraoperatively and provide detailed written preliminary reports.
  • Support the pediatric heart surgery program by assisting with sedated echocardiograms and transesophageal echo in the OR and cath lab.
  • Instruct, train, and educate health providers in the assessment of congenital heart disease.
  • Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of pediatric cardiologists, cardiac thoracic surgeons, nurse practitioners, nurses, sonographers, and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Requirements
  • Experience in pediatric echocardiography with current registration through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or within six months of applying for the position.
  • RDCS Certified, Pediatric Cardiology certification preferred or registry eligible with experience working within a pediatric cardiac ultrasound lab-acute setting strongly preferred.
  • Experience in fetal echocardiography preferred.
