Key Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Perform complex installations of broadband networks, including fiber optic and copper cable systems, to ensure high-speed internet, cable TV, and phone services are delivered to customers.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and repair signal strength issues, ensure optimum reception, and use specialized equipment to test and diagnose network problems.
- Customer Service: Promote and educate customers on the use of broadband services, including how to add additional services, channel lineups, and proper equipment usage.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work is performed to quality control guidelines, including compliance with OSHA, FCC NEC, and NESC regulations.
- Technical Experience: 2+ years of technical telecommunications experience or current/prior military service with honorable discharge.
- Fiber Optic and Copper Cable Experience: 1+ year of basic fiber optic and/or copper cable splicing and repair, installation and repair, or switch training.
- Driver's License: Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Availability: Must be available for on-call/standby responsibilities and willing to work overtime as needed.
- Customer Service: Proven customer service and sales skills, as well as effective communication skills for interaction with internal and external customers.
- Technical Knowledge: Practical knowledge/experience with computer applications and familiarity with company products and services.
- Organizational Skills: Proven organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Associates scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week have access to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off benefits, including vacation, sick leave, paid national holidays, and paid parental leave.
