Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Structural Engineer to join our team at Planate Management Group. As a Junior Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing engineering support and managing assigned design projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Perform professional engineering and project management work to protect life, safety, health, and property.
  • Design Review: Review designs, plans, and specifications to ensure structural safety and compliance with specifications.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide civil or structural professional consultations on a wide range of difficult unforeseen problems on design interfaces, repairs, designs, and construction.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in analyzing the critical path schedule for design and construction projects.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare, review, and approve project documents including building and system designs, estimates, specifications, and bid packages.
  • Acquisition Administration: Administer the acquisition documents for design, construction, renovation, and repair.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Must be a graduate of a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Registration: Must be a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.).
  • Experience: Must have 5+ years of relevant construction experience, including government projects.
  • Skills: Able to read and interpret acquisition policy, regulations, and directives. Experienced in assessing and responding to Requests for Information (RFI). Able to provide clear guidance to all lower-level acquisition personnel. Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
