Job Summary

PennState Health is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Hershey, Pennsylvania. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists in preparing and charging for prescriptions/medications, while also organizing and managing stock to ensure smooth and efficient daily activities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and charging for prescriptions/medications
  • Organize and manage stock to ensure smooth and efficient daily activities
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as answering phones and responding to patient inquiries
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Six (6) months of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy with an educational background in medical terminology and computer use required OR graduate of a formalized Pharmacy Technician Training Program with a minimum of 120 hours in an externship program required
  • PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certified Boards) required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Compounding experience not required but recommended
