Maintenance Mechanic I Job Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic I role is a critical position within our plant, contributing to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by ensuring the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment through hands-on maintenance and related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, control, hydraulic, and microprocessor systems.
  • Setup, startup, operate, troubleshoot, and repair production and support equipment, including bulk resin handling systems, internal resin handling systems, compressed air booster pump stations, chillers, and injection stretch blow molding machines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment and fabricate and repair components as necessary using major maintenance shop equipment.
  • Document all maintenance repair actions according to plant policies and maintain equipment in a manner to follow clean room operating requirements.
  • Download, change, and monitor operating parameters for all major equipment through direct interface or utilization of cell controllers.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-year vocational technical school is desirable.
  • 2 years or more maintenance experience.
  • 3 years or more plastics processing experience is desirable.
  • Ability to work during plant shutdown and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work with and without direct supervision.
