Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oil Service Technician to join our team at Haffner's, a leading wholesale fuel distributor in New England. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial heating and cooling systems, as well as related tanks and piping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling equipment at commercial and residential customer sites.
  • Communicate effectively with office staff and customers to ensure timely issue resolution and proactive customer outreach.
  • Document all installed equipment and customer interactions in a standardized format.
  • Diagnose and repair diverse electrical and mechanical service issues.
  • Explain complex technical issues to customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Understand and articulate company pricing and services to customers.
  • Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business.
  • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Conduct visual oil tank inspections and record condition with pictures and descriptions.
Requirements
  • A minimum of three years of experience in oil service or equipment sales.
  • NH Oil Burner Service License.
  • EPA 608 certificate preferred.
  • Clean MA/ NH driving record.
  • Understanding of blueprints, plans, and manuals.
  • Ability to pass company-provided drug test, alcohol test, and physical.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, overtime, and on-call shifts.

Compensation

This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Hourly Rate/Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications.
