Position Overview

Family Ark is dedicated to providing therapeutic services for individuals and families in southern Indiana. Our latest initiative, the Lotus House, serves as a transitional housing program tailored for expectant and new mothers navigating recovery. The Transitional Housing Support Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the Lotus House residential facility, reporting directly to the Program Supervisor.

Our Mission

At Family Ark, we are committed to delivering exceptional human service programs that foster positive transformations in the lives of children and families within our communities. Our guiding principles include compassion, empowerment, partnership, and hope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of both the programs and the clients.
  • Assist in organizing day reporting and treatment initiatives, including community service, educational programs, parenting support, childcare assistance, substance abuse recovery, and Independent Living (IL) skills.
  • Provide transportation services and support with childcare as necessary.
  • Complete essential documentation, such as daily case notes, shift logs, maintenance requests, and visitation records.
Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Preferred: Two years of post-secondary education or certification as a Peer Support Specialist.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Ability to pass comprehensive background checks.
  • Family Ark maintains a drug-free workplace; candidates will undergo pre-employment and random drug/alcohol testing.
