Position Overview:
Are you looking for a fulfilling career? As a Direct Support Professional, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of those we serve. This role is essential to our mission and involves:
- Providing guidance, support, and supervision to individuals in areas such as daily living skills, therapeutic activities, and other essential assistance in both residential and community environments.
- Assisting with everyday tasks including meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, and medication management.
- Facilitating positive relationships between clients and their employers, while promoting community engagement through outings and transportation support.
- Collaborating closely with clinical staff to implement therapeutic and behavioral plans effectively.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Six months to one year of experience in the human services sector.
- Valid Driver's License from your state of residence.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Successful completion of background checks.
- A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to helping others.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and effective communication skills.
- A dependable and responsible attitude with a caring approach.
- A dedication to maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks.
