We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, MD. Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
- Perform oversight and monitoring of program risks and opportunities.
- Assist in the performance of independent quality reviews to ensure compliance with contractual and customer requirements.
- Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction, ensuring process and product quality.
- Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
- Quality Engineer Quality: Bachelor's + 2 years of experience; Master's + 0 years of experience; 6+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Principal Quality Engineer: Bachelor's + 5 years of experience; Master's + 3 years of experience; PhD + 0 years of experience; 9+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Active Top-Secret Clearance at the time of application. Ability to obtain a SCI.
- Solid written and verbal interpersonal, communication skills and confidence to brief senior management with a solid foundation in Mission Assurance applications.
- Ability to coordinate customer communications across multiple, diverse sites.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams to resolve problems or issues.
- Trained and experienced in performing Root Cause Corrective Action.
- Experience working with electrical or mechanical design requirements and specifications.
- Experience with SAP.
- Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI.
- Experience working on Space hardware.
- Manufacturing process knowledge a plus.
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience in planning and organizing activities across multiple manufacturing locations.
- Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management.
- Record of increasing responsibility supporting manufacturing, electrical, and mechanical engineering organizations.
- Experience in evaluating circuit card assemblies for workmanship issues.
- Have experience in quality planning.
- Mentor lesser experienced engineers on areas of manufacturing.
