Job Opportunity

Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace is seeking a Dairy Associate to join our team at our Bloomfield Twp location.

Responsibilities
  • Perform tasks such as stocking and other duties as assigned based on sales volume and management direction.
  • Price and stock dairy and freezer items according to company guidelines.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries and direct them to merchandise locations.
  • Utilize knives, box cutters, slicers, bailers, and floral cutters as needed in the department.
  • Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company and department guidelines.
  • Comply with safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Notify management of any safety or equipment issues.
  • Properly handle, stock, prepare, and display products.
  • Ability to work in extreme cold and wet conditions.
  • Ability to work consistently in a 45 to 50 environment.
  • Ability to assist in training associates.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to work consistently in a 45 to 50 environment.
  • Must be able to work early mornings and weekends.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8 or more hour periods.
  • Must be able to regularly bend, lift, and/or move 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, lift, and/or move 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to occasionally bend, lift, and/or move 75 pounds with assistance.
  • May occasionally be exposed to temperatures of approximately -20F while handling products in freezers and coolers.
  • Must be able to reach and move items above shoulder height.
