Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Data Engineer to join our high-velocity agile engineering team. This role requires prior experience as a Senior Cloud Data Engineer, with expertise in AWS services including Redshift, AWS Glue, and Lambda. The successful candidate will contribute to the technology, architecture, and engineering delivery across our AWS Cloud Data Services team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Participate as a key team member within a high velocity agile engineering team.
  2. Work hands-on within the cloud data platform to deliver new features, fix issues, and ensure best practices.
  3. Contribute to the technical design and architecture development for parts of the solution.
  4. Ensure that best practices are defined and adhered to. Diagnose and resolve issues with deployed systems (as a part of level 3 support).
  5. Become a technical expert for the cloud data platform.
  6. Evaluate and resolve technical debt, engage in platform modernization, and build reliable features. Recommend and implement best practices and standards for the cloud data platforms.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years as a Cloud Data Engineer.
  • 5+ years working with AWS services including Redshift, AWS Glue, Lambda, etc.
  • 5+ years working in an Agile development environment, hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • 4+ years working with ETL tools (MS SSIS or similar).
  • 4+ years of experience with source control (GitLab).
  • Significant hands-on experience working with databases, schemas, complex queries, data modeling, stored procedures, etc. (MS SQL Server and Redshift preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $145,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
