Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all necessary pre-construction meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Area Manager to review project scopes before commencing work.
  • Examine and understand all union agreements prior to union meetings.
  • Prepare the job site ahead of project initiation.
  • Familiarize yourself with cost codes prior to project commencement.
  • Maintain effective communication and relationships with relevant stakeholders including inspectors, subcontractors, and project owners.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications throughout the construction process.
  • Coordinate the activities of subcontractors on site.
  • Manage relationships with local unions.
  • Supervise all on-site personnel for assigned projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) standards and document efforts made towards meeting these requirements.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, including daily timesheets, safety cards, weekly toolbox talks, and delivery tickets.
  • Submit daily timesheets and diary notes from Foremen under your supervision.
  • Accurately enter completed quantities on a daily basis.
  • Create a two-week look-ahead schedule using the template provided by the Project Manager.
  • Verify utility locates prior to any excavation activities.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment assigned to the project.
  • Ensure completion of equipment checklists as required.
  • Guarantee that all necessary materials and equipment are available on site as needed.
  • Maximize equipment utilization on the project.
  • Oversee compliance with OSHA standards and company policies during all work activities.
  • Conduct toolbox talks at the beginning of each work week and ensure sign-in sheets are submitted.
  • Ensure daily safety cards are completed and submitted.
  • Perform additional work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or related field is essential.
