Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Agronomy Operator to join our team at Heritage FS. As a key member of our agronomy team, you will be responsible for delivering products, communicating sales leads, and custom applying fertilizers and crop protection products to fields.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver products to customers according to company standards and to increase potential sales.
  • Communicate sales leads to your supervisor.
  • Blend products according to recommended rates and procedures.
  • Apply crop production inputs to fields and growing crops according to recommended rates, procedures, and following all pesticide labels.
  • Record application data according to regulations and standards.
  • Responsible for the inventory control and turns in application records on a daily basis.
  • Assure all product is accounted for with either an invoice or delivery ticket.
  • Set up material handling, blending, storage, transport, and application equipment for blending and delivery of products.
  • Repair and rebuild equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 2 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to safely operate sprayers, floaters, single or tandem axle trucks, and other equipment and to meet company and DOT standards.
  • Must be able to get in and out of, as well as operate, all required vehicles and equipment.
  • Demonstrated core competencies including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • Class A CDL preferred.
  • Must hold and maintain, or have the ability to obtain, all required pesticide or fertilizer licenses or certifications in states where crop production inputs are applied.
  • Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds of product or equipment over your head and be able to position that product in any area required by a patron or supervisor.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, and steps, walk on platforms, etc. at required heights to perform as required.
