Job Summary

The Polysomnographic Technologist I is a key member of our team, responsible for conducting sleep studies on infants and children. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform sleep studies on infants and children, including calibrations and monitoring equipment set-up
  • Score sleep studies based on the American Academy of Sleep Medicine Guidelines
  • Process all documentation to provide accurate information to physicians
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of direct patient care experience in Sleep Disorders, EEG, or Respiratory Therapy
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and completion of Polysomnography workshops, courses, seminars, and/or comparable experience in an EEG/Respiratory and/or Sleep Disorders Laboratory
  • License through the Medical Board of California
  • RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) with BRPT (Board of Polysomnographic Technologist) or Board eligible
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional work experience in Respiratory Care and/or EEG Testing
  • BiPAP, oxygen titration, and ETCO2 experience
  • Associate Degree or some college coursework in Allied Health
Work Environment

This role requires a medium to high energy level, with frequent lifting and carrying of patients and equipment. The work environment is fast-paced and requires excellent communication and teamwork skills.
