Electro Mechanic

The Electro Mechanic plays a crucial role in supporting and maintaining Barry Callebaut equipment to produce high-quality products. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.

• Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance of Barry Callebaut operations
• Support production by ensuring the safe and proper operation, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment
• Analyze, troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical and mechanical systems on industrial manufacturing equipment
• Repair electronic components and controls used in manufacturing
• Locate and diagnose complex equipment failures, including mechanical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems
• Coordinate and complete projects, on occasion with outside vendors
• Use PC's and associated sophisticated software to perform tasks
• Utilize the most sophisticated test and measurement equipment associated with specific disciplines
• Communicate with supervisor for direction and to keep supervisor informed of problems and equipment that is not operating properly
• Generate, complete, and close work orders using a computerized maintenance management system
• Perform established PM and PdM activities and identify new opportunities for improvement
• Follow all GMP, HACCP, and Safety regulations and guidelines
• Perform all other related duties as requested
• Help in the training of new employees, both production and maintenance when required
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment
• Participate in the safety-related training programs
• Ensure the proper documentation of repairs, listing parts, record keeping, and following the work flow process

We are seeking an experienced Electro Mechanic with a strong background in electromechanical technology and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in electrical systems, troubleshooting, and PLC's, as well as the ability to read and understand complex technical documentation.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently, follow through and complete tasks, and handle a multi-task workload. They will also be able to work as part of a team with little to no supervision.
