Production Specialist

The Production Worker position is a critical role within the Refinery, responsible for supplying materials to the production area, maintaining inventory, and assisting operators in various production areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Adhere to and enforce all personnel safety, food safety, and environmental rules, regulations, policies, and programs.
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Maintain qualifications to assume duties and responsibilities of the Utility position.
- Operate industrial forklifts/trucks and assist with rail car movements as a Ground Man.
- Receive and unload incoming bulk and non-bulk ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain product rotation of non-bulk ingredients in accordance with FIFO standards.
- Operate a tape measure with a ball float for inventory purposes.
- Obtain production samples from various sources for quality and environmental purposes.
- Operate and maintain wastewater unit operations and all feed sources to unit operations for acceptable discharge within operating permits.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in food preparation or industrial settings preferred.
- Basic computer operation skills, including the use of "point and click" programs.
- Forklift/Industrial Truck certification required.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods while performing job duties.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Must be able to wear a respirator.
- Must be capable of bending, kneeling, working in confined spaces, and from heights.
