Skincare Formulation Chemist/R&D Manager Opportunity

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Skincare Formulation Chemist/R&D Manager to join a dynamic team at a leading Manufacturing Organization in the Phoenix area. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in the cosmetics industry, with a strong background in skincare formulation. This role requires a deep understanding of key active ingredients, raw materials, product development, product efficacy/performance, and regulatory compliance, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of junior chemists
  • Develop and implement skincare formulations that meet customer requirements and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product efficacy, performance, and regulatory compliance
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in skincare formulation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related field
  • 7-10 years of experience in skincare formulation within the cosmetics industry, preferably at a CDMO
  • Strong knowledge of key active ingredients, raw materials, emulsions, surfactants, preservatives, and other cosmetic ingredients
