Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at SSM Health. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Diagnostic Procedures: Conduct echocardiograms and other diagnostic tests to assess cardiac function and structure.
  • Record and Report Results: Accurately record and report test results to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor Patient Comfort and Safety: Ensure patient comfort and safety during tests, and alert physicians to any abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
  • Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Maintain adequate supplies and verify that all equipment is in proper working condition.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a sonography program.
  • Experience: No experience required.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant Standing and Walking: Constantly stand and walk during work hours.
  • Frequent Use of Vision and Depth Perception: Frequently use vision and depth perception for distances near and far.
  • Frequent Use of Hearing and Speech: Frequently use hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Frequent Lifting and Moving: Frequently lift and move patients and objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
