Work Schedule:

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation, you will work a 50% FTE, day shift schedule. You will be based at three clinic locations: UW Health Junction Road Clinic, UW Health Union Corners, and UW Health 20 S. Park Street. Your hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Compensation:
A competitive starting pay based on relevant work experience is offered for this position. Additionally, you will receive an evening differential.

About the Role:

As an Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of routine and complex ultrasound procedures, including pelvic, abdominal, small parts, and routine vascular examinations. You may also perform more complex imaging tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform clinical examinations on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups.
  • Work at a variety of locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility, and several clinics in the Madison area.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasonography program and/or registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Work Experience:
  • Previous healthcare experience is required.
  • 2 years of clinical experience is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) in a minimum of two concentrations: Abdomen, Ob/Gyn, Breast, or Pediatric Sonography or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) upon hire is required.
  • RVT credential, if not already acquired, or Minimum Qualifications Substitute (MQS) if in OBGYN department within 30 months is required.
  • CPR certification within 3 months is required.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in a minimum of two concentrations listed above and RVT is preferred.
