Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing standard warehousing tasks such as loading and unloading shipments, managing inventory, and ensuring the warehouse is well-maintained. Additionally, the Warehouse Operations Supervisor will inspect products, perform necessary repairs on new items, organize products, adhere to loading lists, and maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Warehouse Operations Supervisor, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the daily operations of receiving household goods for storage;
- Executing warehouse functions including loading, unloading, and inventory management;
- Monitoring the warehouse team and assigning tasks effectively;
- Utilizing the Inventory Control System (Windfall);
- Planning, organizing, and managing overall warehouse operations;
- Ensuring the security of stock within the warehouse;
- Coordinating daily work assignments and material flow;
- Operating heavy forklifts in compliance with OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required);
- A minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience is required (2 years preferred);
- Experience in distribution and logistics is essential;
- Familiarity with barcode scanning systems is preferred;
- Forklift certification is a plus;
- Experience in furniture handling and distribution is advantageous;
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks;
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles;
- Commitment to implementing safety standards in all warehouse operations;
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
- Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment;
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk on hard surfaces such as concrete and metal;
- Use hands for handling and reaching;
- Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, crawl, and ascend stairs;
- Occasionally lift, push, pull, or move up to 75 pounds without mechanical assistance;
- Have specific vision abilities including close vision and depth perception;
- Work in diverse weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
