As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Interventional Radiology Technologist plays a crucial role in diagnosing and treating both congenital and acquired conditions affecting organs and vascular systems. This position is responsible for executing a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the Angio-Interventional radiology or Neuroradiology departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver efficient and effective procedural assistance for various patient interventions.
  • Operate advanced imaging systems during specialized procedures.
  • Implement necessary precautions to minimize radiation exposure for patients, staff, and oneself.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and protocols.
  • Maintain an image quality assurance error rate of less than 5%.
  • Oversee inventory management for necessary supplies.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and education.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation: $57.62 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiography program; an Associate's Degree in Radiography is preferred. Eligibility for ARRT (VI) certification is required.

Experience: Prior experience is necessary; a minimum of 2 years in Interventional Radiology is preferred.

Licensure: Must hold registration as a Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.). ARRT (VI) certification must be obtained within one year of employment. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is required.

Physical Requirements:
This role necessitates prolonged periods of standing and sitting, frequent bending and stooping, as well as overhead reaching. Strong communication, auditory, and visual skills are essential. Attention to detail and legible writing ability are critical. The position requires the capacity to lift, push, or pull weights as necessary. Exposure to various environmental factors such as fumes, cold, heat, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases may occur.
