Join DuPont de Nemours, Inc. as a Manufacturing Technology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technology Specialist to join our team at DuPont de Nemours, Inc. in Buffalo, NY. As a key member of our Corian manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for developing, trialing, qualifying, launching, and supporting new and custom Corian products.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Support DuPont Core Value initiatives, including Safety, Environmental, Process Safety Management (PSM), Ethics, and Respectful Workplace.
  • Apply knowledge of Line of Business (LOB) technology to define and implement solutions for PSM, Grow and Improve projects.
  • Provide input into Business Technology Implementation Plan (BTIP) and Multi-Generational Technology Plan (MGTP).
  • First contact in MT for advanced troubleshooting for new and custom color products.
  • Work with commercial, marketing, R&D, quality, supply chain, and Operations to develop new products within the limit of production capabilities.
  • Provide line support for trial and new product runs until qualified and released to production.
  • Manage lab analysts who support new product or custom color development.
  • Provide technical training and coaching to Operations Engineers and Technical staff.
  • Participate in technical Root Cause Investigations (RCIs) for incidents and near misses.
  • Lead or support raw material qualification or trials for new products.
  • Validate technical solutions and document results to drive toward a standardized Process Technology.
  • Lead or provide technical inputs to Management of Change Process.
  • Lead or participate in Project Reviews.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree of science in Engineering or technology.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and oral/written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of employees and contractors.
  • Learning agility - a personal drive to learn, pivot when necessary, and adapt to the ever-changing needs of our company in the face of a changing world and customer base.
  • Intellectual curiosity - proactively investing time and energy into learning more and personally developing, in the interest of improving yourself and delivering better results.
  • Fundamental understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and leading both long-term programs and projects as well as addressing short-term operational issues.
  • Experience in new product development and launch.
  • Six Sigma / Green Belt Certified.
