Position Title: Supervisor Radiology-Multimodality

Department: Radiology - Administrative Services

Employee Type: Regular

Position Summary

This role is essential in delivering preventive, supportive, and corrective measures within the radiology setting. The supervisor is responsible for coordinating personnel to ensure that daily technical operations align with established hospital and departmental protocols, as well as all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervisory Functions
    • Works under the guidance of the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging.
    • Assists in overseeing radiology departments specializing in advanced imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, and Ultrasound.
    • Participates in performance evaluations, addresses employee relations matters, and contributes to hiring and termination processes.
    • Provides mentorship and direction to support ongoing professional development of staff.
  2. Staff Management
    • Collaborates with management to create and adjust staffing schedules to ensure optimal patient care.
    • Facilitates staff meetings and prepares agendas.
    • Responsible for reviewing and approving employee time records.
    • Coordinates with Talent Acquisition for temporary staffing needs.
  3. Charge Reconciliation
    • Ensures accurate billing procedures by reconciling charges for specific imaging modalities.
  4. Education and Training
    • Organizes educational initiatives and training for radiology technologists, including orientation and updates on equipment and procedures.
  5. Quality Assurance and Reporting
    • Monitors workflow quality and effectiveness, troubleshooting issues to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Assists in compiling monthly performance metrics and prepares operational reports for management review.
    • Supports the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging with various projects as required.
  6. Diagnostic Oversight
    • Supervises the execution of routine diagnostic and therapeutic radiology procedures, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and policies.
    • Oversees the archiving of diagnostic images in accordance with specifications.
  7. Radiology Student Supervision
    • Evaluates and supervises Clinical Radiography students to ensure they meet established educational goals, providing guidance as necessary.
  8. Staff Technologist Duties
    • Participates in technical work to cover shifts as needed.
  9. Additional Responsibilities
    • Performs other job-related tasks as assigned.
