Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Intellyk Inc. This role involves performing welding tasks with precision and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute current Standard Work diligently, ensuring accountability for the quality of tasks completed.
  • Recognize and report any deviations from standards or nonconforming conditions to the Supervisor for corrective action.
  • Analyze workflow to identify sources of waste and collaborate with the Supervisor to implement improvements.
  • Propose innovative ideas aimed at enhancing safety, quality, efficiency, and teamwork.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following 5S methodologies.
  • Continuously acquire new skills relevant to the workflow and plant operations to boost overall organizational effectiveness.
  • Adhere to area-specific procedures and the Code of Conduct established by AMETEK.
  • Assist others in executing standard work, particularly on complex tasks.
  • Set up and operate all necessary tools and equipment for standard work execution, with a focus on TIG welding proficiency.
  • Possess minimal weld qualifications (SST).
  • Identify issues in the execution of standard work and seek assistance for resolution.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.
  • Basic computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Windows.
  • Fundamental math skills and the ability to utilize basic measurement tools (ruler, scale, calipers, tape measure).
  • Experience with various hand tools (wire strippers, pliers, wrenches, etc.).
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Regular lifting capability of up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
