About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mission Analysis Section Manager to lead a team of engineers in the development and integration of variable-fidelity computer models and simulations that effectively capture system and system of systems effects in complex threat environments.

About the Team:

Our team is dedicated to performing customer-focused mission modeling and simulation activities for all customer areas at Raytheon. We develop, analyze, and grade flexible integration solutions crossing all product areas, developing tools and methods to evaluate campaign, mission, and system level analysis and visualizations based on customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 8-15 engineers in the development and integration of variable-fidelity computer models and simulations.
  • Work with the team to generate virtual and/or analytical solutions to identify technology gaps, demonstrate the operational benefits of new mission concepts, and develop requirements, test systems, and train operators.
  • Use a holistic mindset coupled with engineering skills to develop and visualize solutions in support of one or more OAMS projects.
  • Accountable for the execution of work and delivery of products from your section.
  • Direct line management activities for the team, including performance development and appraisal, career development, staffing allocation, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and business alignment.
  • Perform an evaluation of end-to-end system needs to discover system interfaces and data connectivity requirements across the kill-chain.
  • Work on the modeling of system and mission kill chains with tools such as Government, Commercial, and Raytheon simulations.
  • Lead the development of metrics and results products that communicate the chain of events that led to an action.
  • Lead the implementation of algorithms to provide next-generation performance across the entire system of systems.

  • Administrative and technical oversight of the section while maintaining current day-to-day engineering activities.
  • Talent acquisition, goal setting, career development, performance appraisals, and compensation processes.
  • Employee compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with CONOPS, Campaign Modeling, Battle Space Command & Control, Threat Assessment & Modeling.
  • Experience with Numerical Optimization Techniques, Analysis of Alternatives, or Design of Experiments.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB, Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
  • Team leadership skills.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Raytheon owned Modeling and Simulation tools or Government/Industry Modeling and Simulation tools.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation of sensing systems and effectors.
  • Design of Experiment, Statistical analysis, Data Analytics.
  • An active DoD Top Secret clearance.
