Key Responsibilities
  • Implement patient care plans and assess patients' physical and mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with Psychiatrists, Therapists, Dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families to ensure their needs are met and they receive the best possible care.
  • Administer medication and provide education to patients and their families on medication management.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote patient safety and quality care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Registered nurse licensed by the State Board of Nursing in the state of employment.
  • American Health Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent required within 30 days of hire.
  • Formal training in management of aggressive patients required within 60 days of hire.
  • Previous psychiatric experience with children, adolescents, and adults preferred.
