Job Summary

AdventHealth is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in the provision of medication distributive functions and pharmacy operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management
  • Perform duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs
  • Accurately respond to medication dispensing requests and prepare medications for pharmacist final review
  • Deliver checked medications and return unused or expired medications to appropriate pharmacy areas
  • Actively participate in outstanding customer service and maintain relationships with patients and healthcare teams
Requirements
  • High School Grad or Equivalent
  • PREFERRED: Associates degree or technical degree in a related field or specific certification related to the position
  • One year of contemporary hospital pharmacy, retail or ambulatory experience
  • Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT) OR Current, valid State Pharmacist Intern license if applicable to state
