About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Systems Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our National Security Sector, you will play a critical role in designing and developing new capabilities for complex systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide system engineering expertise in areas such as architecture, design, development, requirements analysis, data flow, network design/implementation, testing, and documentation.
  • Analyze user requirements, system architecture, and system requirements specifications to provide systems engineering expertise and develop system architecture and system design documentation.
  • Support and provide guidance for system development and implementation planning through assessment of system engineering plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Develop system configuration documentation, including designs for capacity and performance planning, and perform engineering activities such as risk assessments and analyses of alternatives for system-related issues and concerns.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in system engineering, engineering science, computer science, or a related field and at least twelve (12) to fifteen (15) years of related experience.
  • Must have in-depth experience in several areas, including system architecture, design and development, requirements analysis, data flow design/analysis, network design/implementation, testing, and technical system documentation.
  • Must have at least seven (7) years of experience working with network design or foundational networking, system architecture design, building, and integration, and infrastructure components (servers, switches, firewalls, and other enterprise infrastructure hardware).
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience as a senior architect working on large complex system architectures and hands-on experience building and maintaining Windows and Linux systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with hardware and software maintenance, transitioning legacy systems into new architectures, and model-based systems engineering.
  • Experience with risk management/risk register, tracking hardware assets and/or software licenses, and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology or as a member of an Agile team.
