About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our team at MDPerm. As a Behavioral Health Provider, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in a secure facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mental Health Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to inform treatment plans and services for detainees with serious mental illness or substance use disorders.
  • Referral and Treatment: Refer detainees to acute and/or inpatient mental health care as clinically determined, and provide direct mental health services, including on-site counseling and individual and group psychotherapy.
  • Substance Abuse Education: Provide education and behavioral analysis for detainees identified with mental health and substance use problems.
  • Program Development: Develop and implement specialized programming within a Modified Therapeutic Treatment Community model.
  • Consultation and Education: Consult with medical, contract staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide education and training on continuity of care, treatment, monitoring, and management of patients with co-occurring diagnoses.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • Experience: Minimum of one year experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the independent level.
  • Licensure: Current, permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice clinical social work independently in Arizona.
  • Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Program Management: Experience implementing and managing a new mental health treatment program and a Modified Therapeutic Community treatment model.
  • Detention/Correctional Setting: Experience working in a detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting.
Working Conditions
  • Availability: Requires availability to work days, evenings, and some weekends and holidays.
  • On-Call Coverage: Includes rotational on-call coverage, and provider may need to return to the facility to provide care during the coverage period.
