Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic observation and monitoring of consumers in the group home, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Conduct daily assessments of consumer behavior and develop individualized plans to address their needs.
  • Train consumers on basic living skills, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Transport consumers to appointments and outings, ensuring their safe and timely arrival.
  • Administer medication and assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing and toileting.
  • Prepare consumer meals according to individualized dietary orders and maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Recognize and respond to crisis situations, de-escalating conflicts and ensuring the safety of all individuals involved.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Document consumer progress and services provided, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 23 years of age or older.
  • Maintain a valid Alabama driver's license and proof of current liability insurance.
Work Environment

This is a part-time position, with flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs. You will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, sitting, and walking.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull objects weighing up to 5 pounds.
