Clinical Research Psychologist

Palo Alto Veterans Institute for Research (PAVIR) is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for advancing research in Polytrauma and supporting Principal Investigator, Dr. Odette Harris, in improving healthcare services and support for veterans.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct primary qualitative research on Polytrauma, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams;
- Lead data analysis and develop findings, integrating and cross-referencing results and protocols with colleagues conducting quantitative research;
- Conduct secondary research and literature reviews, creating drafts for publication and presenting results at scientific meetings and conferences;
- Apply findings to the development of healthcare services and support for veterans;
- Provide support for project management, ensuring that research requirements, protocols, schedules, and deliverables are met;
- Advance research in Polytrauma by contributing to grant proposals and developing new research directions;
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Doctoral degree (or equivalent experience);
- 4 years or more of related experience;
- Ability to communicate well with patients with mild to severe TBI;
- Qualification and training to deliver therapy, including CBT, for anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health symptoms;
- Experience in delivering one-on-one and group therapy to patients;
- Experience with clinical research management, design, implementation, analysis, and reporting.
- Preferred: Previous experience in a clinical and research environment, experience with clinical trial and research data management, experience working with both Veteran and Active Duty/SOF population.
