Job Summary

As an Assistant Manager with Compass Group USA, you will play a key role in the overall management of food and beverage service operations for a $1.5M Retail Cafe. You will be responsible for maximizing profitability, guest satisfaction, and associate satisfaction while ensuring the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with managing food service operations in accordance with the approved budget while providing the client with the maximum value for the dollars spent.
  • Ensure the food and beverage offered to the client, customers, and associates of the operation is of superior quality.
  • Assist with purchasing and inventory.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with associates, guests, and client, as well as, other departments within the operation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 2 to 4 years of food service management experience.
  • Experience in coffee shops, restaurants, health care, senior living, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, and/or related food service operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food.
  • Financial experience and business acumen skills.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
