Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in the pulmonary care of adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care services to patients in various hospital settings, including critical care units and emergency departments.
  • Conduct patient assessments, institute respiratory care plans, and perform technical and diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Perform ventilator management, airway maintenance, and oxygen therapy as required.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to respiratory care.

Requirements

  • RRT certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required.
